Beach part 1

When I last blogged, Rylee still had her cast on. We got it taken off on Wed. June 2nd. That was an adventure all by itself. She didn't like them cutting it off and was very scared at first to even move. They told us she would be very stiff for a while (they said for as long as it took her to get used to the cast..it would take her that long to readjust). She at first even had a hard time sitting. She is now getting better at walking some but mostly crawls because she can get around so much faster.

In the mean time, we went on our yearly vacation. My sister's in laws have a place that they so graciously let us stay at each year. It was still a fun trip even though Rylee wasn't getting around completely normal. Makenzie did really well there and officially started sleeping through the night there. Also a couple days before we went down she figured out that she could get her hands to her mouth so if she is wearing anything with a little stretch, she grabs a hold and pulls it up to her mouth. She has also gotten very good at holding her head up with tummy time and in her bumbo.

Here are some of the pictures from the beach trip. I'm splitting them up into different posts since I have so many of them.

Wednesday can't come soon enough!

We are counting down our days until Rylee goes for her followup appointment and hopefully gets her cast off! It has been a very long month and we can't wait for it to be over. And if all goes well...we'll hopefully get to go to the beach the weekend after she gets her cast off!

Since it's been pretty hot and she still has her cast on...we've mostly been hanging inside. Here are a few pictures from the last few days.

Hair do's

Rylee has always been a hot natured child but this cast makes her even more so! This week we have been trying out some new hair styles.

Rolling over and Prayers

Here in the last little bit Rylee has really adapted to the cast. Today she figured out that she can roll over. Here she is

Then every night before bed we say our prayers. Rylee has memorized them. Here is her version of them.

Graduation

Dave graduated from college this weekend with his paralegal degree! We couldn't be prouder of him. Here are a few pictures.

Look what I can do!

Rylee is definately adapting to her cast. Recently she has wanted to spend more time on her belly since she can reach things better and found out she could do this!

Then here are a few pictures from the last couple days. Big thanks to everyone who has sent cards and packages! Here is Rylee playing with the one she got today!
