Getting so big!

This week we've set up Rylee's jumping swing for her. She loves it! The other day she actually cried because I took her out of it! We've also figured out that if we mix the fruits that she doesn't love in with her rice cereal that she will eat them with no problem. It has worked like a charm with her peaches.

4 month shots

So this week we went to the Dr for Rylee's 4 month check-up. She weighs 16 pounds even and is 25 5/8 inches long. She was really fussy at the dr's office to start with since she didn't nap well that morning but boy was she terrible for the next couple of days. She got 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine. The girl who gave them to her must have really jabbed her because she has huge knots on her legs (poor baby!). Yesterday she wanted to be held all day. She also didn't want to nap. My mom said she was a little better today but still not quite herself. I just do not like getting shots!

Belly sleeping and eating fun

Now that Rylee can roll from her back onto her belly, my baby who used to hate tummy time is now a tummy sleeper. Here's a picture (I think she is adorable when she sleeps!)





So we're still doing solids but so far I have yet to find one that she really loves. She's tried bananas and carrots. We have to do one food for 4 days to make sure that she doesn't have an allergy before moving onto the next. Here she is trying bananas and after finishing her rice cereal.

Starting Solids

So Rylee has started solids. We have been doing rice cereal for about a week now and that is going pretty good so we decided to start fruits and veggies. Our first to try is bananas. She HATES them! She pretty much gags herself trying to eat them. She is funny. We have to give them to her for 5 days though to make sure that she doesn't have an allergic reaction...so maybe she will start to like them by the end of the time.

Sears portraits

So we took Rylee to get her pictures made at Sears on Monday. She was happy as a lark in the waiting room and just smiling and laughing for my mom and I...but as soon as we get into the room to take the pictures she is already fussy. We got a few good pictures but I've decided that she must just be camera shy...it seems she does this every time we try to take her to get her pictures done. I thought I would share a few with you...

Rice Cereal

So Rylee started rice cereal a couple of days ago. She is starting to get the hang of it...but still doesn't know what to do with her tongue. She is so cute eating though. Here's a few pictures that I thought I would share.

I can't believe how big she is getting...and that we are already starting solids. I was working on her baby book today and am amazed at how much she has grown already!

A new Dagenhardt!

So I have a new cousin, Allison Nicole Dagenhardt. She is so cute. We went yesterday to see her but when we got there they had already taken her to the nursery to get her cleaned up. She weighed 8 lbs and 11.2 oz. and was 22 inches long. Here are a couple of pictures..but they don't do her justice! She is much cuter in person...
